Members of the Virginia State bar's Special Committee on the Future of Law Practice will be discussing developments in the practice of law, including trends and issues facing attorneys in the shifting landscape.Topics to be addressed are broken down into three categories:  (a) Technology and the Practice of Law, including cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and ethical issues; (b) Access to Justice, including attorney-assisted pro se litigation and unbundled services, pro bono service reporting, and changes in rules governing lawyers to promote pro bono services; and (c) Alternative Business Structures, including alternative legal service providers and ethical implications of nonlawyer providers.
