This 2-hour virtual training is a partnership between VSB Access to Legal Services and the University of Richmond School of Law. Law students and lawyers are invited to participate. The training will start with a one-hour PowerPoint presentation that will cover various ethics topics (competency, diligence, confidentiality, conflict of interest, unbundling legal services/limited-scope representation, etc.) associated with providing online and limited scope pro bono legal representation through Virginia Free Legal Answers. The second hour will consist of interactive training in virtual break-out rooms where participants will tour the website and discuss hypotheticals based on actual questions and answers submitted on the portal. Supervising attorneys will provide support and attendees may have the opportunity to view and respond to actual questions posted on Virginia Free Legal Answers. 2.0 hours CLE (1.0 hour Ethics) pending.
